How do I make a booking?
There are a couple of ways you can book in. You can either book in over the counter, call or email. We strongly recommend and prefer that you come down in person for a quick consultation to discuss any possible problems, size and the placement of the tattoo. We also require a $100 deposit to secure and lock in your appointment.

Can I walk in?
Generally speaking, yes you can. We suggest you call first to work out available times.

What is the minimum price of a tattoo?
$100

But, mine is only really small. It will only take about 2 minutes?
Big or small we still have to set up and pull down the station, throw away everything that’s single use and sterilise everything else that is not.

How much will it cost?
The prices vary from tattoo to tattoo. Smaller sized tattoos we can usually give a price on the spot providing it’s ready to tattoo and doesn’t need any customizing. Bigger tattoo’s i.e. sleeves, chest plates and back pieces etc and larger custom stuff are usually run at an hourly rate of $140

Does it hurt?
Yes, but it’s bearable. The pain varies from person to person also the position of the tattoo also comes into play as some spots are more uncomfortable than others.

Can I get/use numbing cream?
You can but we strongly advise against for many technical reasons Do you have designs at your shop? Yes! We have hundreds of designs of just about everything!

Can I bring my own design/reference piece?
Yes! For best result we suggest that you bring it down day of booking so we can use it and take into consideration when we are creating your very own custom design

I’ve got an idea but can’t draw, can you help me?
Of course! We are all artists and can make it happen providing that it’s actually tattooable

I’m almost 18 can I get tattooed with parental consent?
No. You need to be 18+ years of age and need to provide identification

Can I bring my family/friends in with me?
You can, but only 1 person may go back with you if you require support. We also have a couch to wait on out the front.

Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes! They are only available over the counter

Do you need an Apprentice/Tattooer?
We are always willing to look at everyone’s portfolios. If are interested you come down to the shop with your work or alternatively you can email it through to info@valleymalltattoo.com

Do you have guest artists?
Yes! We love to have guest artists working with us. If you are interested please send us your folio

What is ‘SNITCH’?
SNITCH is an alternative nightclub every Thursday night at club 299 in Fortitude Valley. We sponsor the event and hold a ‘Valley Mall Tattoo Party Night’ once a month. We will all be there having a blast and giving away heaps of GIVE-A-WAYS including $50 off vouchers!

How do I go in the running to win some of the $50 tattoo/piercing vouchers?
Just say ‘Valley Mall Tattoo’ at the door. By saying this you get $2 cheaper entry than everyone else and you also go in the running to win the vouchers!

I have won a $50 voucher how do I use it?
Easy, come to the shop and choose what you’d like to use it on I have lost my voucher, can I still use it? Unfortunately, no you can’t. You are to treat the voucher like money and bring it on the day.

I am crazy lucky and somehow won a second voucher, can I use both of them for the same tattoo/piercing?
No you can’t, sorry. The vouchers are to be used one per person per day and also are not to be used in conjunction with any other offer and/or discount. The vouchers cannot be traded in for cash or change in anyway whatsoever.
